Katie had lots of fun on her first Christmas morning. She must have been a good little girl this year! Katie is enamored with the hundreds of lights on the tree. She is especially fond of her new Taggies ball and of course she enjoyed sharing time with Daddy, Mommy, and Grandma Savageau.
We dressed up for a Christmas Eve service at a local church in Canton. Though we went to the early service, Kathleen had a long evening.
On Halloween, Daddy brought home a pumpkin that we all carved together. Elaine has a great pumpkin seed recipe that Mommy and Daddy enjoyed.
On October 25, we drove along the Blue Ridge Parkway and went for a short hike on Mt. Pisgah. The photo below gives a nice perspective of where we live.
We had a family portrait taken for the church directory on October 19, 2008 when Kathleen was two weeks old.
In early October, when Kathleen was only a week old, the Godfreys visited from Maine and fell head over heels for their granddaughter. Uncle Thomas got to meet Kathleen too! We took some family portraits outside before the Godfreys left after a wonderful and relaxing visit.
Metamorphosis
At some point, hopefully soon, we will paste together our weekly pictures of Elaine as she grew with Kathleen.
