Question -------- When we are filling out the table, we are assessing where the lat/lon should be 6 hours out. For example, on maps P1, we are using the data to project the lat/lon of the cyclone center for P2. But to fill in GAVA and the rest, do we look at the P1 maps at the projected forecast to get the data? Or do we look at P1 for the initial lat/lon to get the data, and P2 for the projected 6 hour out forecast? Answer ------ You place the lat/lon of where you think the 1000 hPa cyclone center will be six hours from the time given in the first column. For example, you place your predicted lat/lon of where you think the 1000 hPa cyclone center will be at P5 in the row having "t0+18h [P4]" listed under "Time." The forcing terms GAVA and the rest then correspond to the values taken from the P4 maps at the predicted P5 cyclone center position.
