The scale factor of 5 for GAV as an example, is just the contour value raised to the -5th right? Subsequently 
when you give us a scale factor of 9, the value we find will be raised to the -9th? Am I thinking about this right?

On the chart we have found LTHAD, and now we are trying to solve for LAD. We looked at the map for LAD and didn't 
notice anything. Do we just multiply LTHAD by .85 to solve for LAD?

You are correct, a scale factor of 5 implies # x 10^-5 [units] and a scale factor of 9 implies # x 10^-9 [units].

The maps of LAD and LDIA give you the sign ("+" or "-") of the terms and the magnitude of these terms is dependent 
on what is given in the final project hand-out.
