High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR) Forecasts

The HRRR is a NOAA real-time 3-km resolution, hourly updated, cloud-resolving, convection-allowing atmospheric model, initialized by 3 km grids with 3 km radar assimilation. Here, we extract HRRR fields from the latest two-hour forecast for the region surrounding North Carolina. In the link below, the top three header lines indicate the model run time, the forecast hour, and the valid forecast time for the data, followed by the column headers. Download this text file for the latest HRRR two-hour forecast. Examples of the latest visibility and 2-m temperature fields appear below the link. Click on either one for a larger image.
