Welcome

Greetings fellow ATMS majors! Welcome to the UNC Asheville Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society. Here you will find details about upcoming meetings and events, along with many weather resources. Our 2011–2012 year will be filled with meetings consisting of job and internship opportunities, a resume workshop, general information, special topics, case studies, social events, and much more.

This year, we are working to reinstate the annual AMS yearbook. We look forward to building a small yearbook committee to complete this task. If you are interested, please contact an officer.

As always, we anticipate the growth and progression of the AMS club. This will be possible through your participation and our relationship with the ATMS community, along with the UNC Asheville and greater Asheville communities. We hope to make an impact on your journey here at UNC Asheville. Should you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact any of the chapter officers or professors.

Lastly, be sure to join us on Facebook.

Best wishes!
Lauren Gunter, President, 2011–2012
