Welcome

Hello fellow atmospheric science majors and welcome to our Student Chapter of the American Meteorological Society page! Designed with you in mind, a suite of weather links, weather information, and details about upcoming meetings will keep you up to date on our activities. Our 2009–2010 session will include monthly meetings to bring all weather enthusiasts into an enjoyable setting. Meetings will range from a simple outdoor picnic to a more in-depth scientifically-based get together, complete with presentations from professional meteorologists on topics ranging from job opportunities to case studies on local or regional weather events.

This year, we would like to reach the highest chapter membership ever. Through your participation, you will begin relationships with other students that will enhance your learning during your time at UNC Asheville and beyond. Please do not hesitate to contact the chapter officers or any faculty member for more information.
